Streetread Under New Ownership

Tags:

Just to let everyone know, Streetread has been sold and is under new ownership as of Monday this week. More details about the sale, future plans, and anything else relevant will be posted in a few days. During this transition period, the blog will most likely not be updated, so I apologize for the wait.

IBD's RSS Feeds Down For Weeks

I noticed recently that the Investor Business Daily's feed hasn't been updated in over three weeks. I've been trying all of their available feeds but all seem to be broken. I'll continue trying to resolve the issue. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Streetread Featured on Moolanomy

A big thanks to Pinyo from one of my favorite personal finance sites, Moolanomy. If you follow Streetread's blog at all, which is basically an aggregation of personal finance (and related) content around the web, you've seen some links to Moolanomy in the past. Anyway, the article below is a roundup of 8 interesting sites for discovering financial news articles and related content. Other than Streetread, there are other aggregators, social bookmarking sites, and more. Check them out below:

Market Guru added to Streetread

Tags:

Market Guru is one the web's top social investing communities. Recently, more diverse and less mainstream content has been being added to Streetread to provide a complete picture of the financial world. To continue this trend, Market Guru's community opinions feed was chosen to be included in Streetread. The feed features their members thoughts and discussions regarding either specific stocks, sectors, or the market as a whole. Hearing personal opinions is sometimes a nice change from the typical market headlines and could provide some additional, informative insight.

Thanks to personal finance website, Clever Dude, for offering a link to and brief description of Streetread to their readers. Perhaps some of the other great personal finance sites will notice the usefulness of Streetread and share with their readers. Check out the article below:

Streetread Featured on CEOWorld.biz

I just came across a great post on CEOWorld.biz that compiles some of the best news web applications for businessmen. Out of the thirty two listed applications, Streetread made the cut. Check out the post below:

"If you’re looking for Top Web 2.0 online news and reviews collaborative, monitoring and analysis site application for CEO’S and Entrepreneurs! then this is the place to be because below are few of them:"

Streetread May Be Up For Sale Shortly

Tags:

First, let me emphasize the "may be" in the title of this post. Anything is far from certain at this point. Without going into further detail, I was offered an opportunity to take part in the creation of another web project that looks very promising. The decision is very hard, and if I decide to pursue the opportunity, I wouldn't have the time needed to maintain and expand Streetread. I wanted to make a post here, so that if any individual or company is interested in taking over, perhaps the right offer would make my mind up for me.

USA Today Removed from Streetread

Tags:

This would be the first time a feed was actually removed from Streetread, rather than added. Shortly ago, I was contacted by representatives of USA Today regarding the feed being used by Streetread, and an order to have it removed. Hopefully other sites won't feel the same way. If you are a dire fan of USA Today and want it back here, feel free to visit their site and sound off.

Dividend.com Added to Streetread

Just added to Streetread a few moments ago was Dividend.com. The site features some great content which is a bit different than most of the sites aggregated here; so it should provide from more diversity. Just incase some of you can't make the connection, the site focuses mainly on dividend-bearing stocks, which is, in my opinion, the most attractive investments at this time. Their content is also picked up by finance sites like Forbes, AOL, and Google.
